Medical City
My mother has entrusted her pregnancy and delivery of me to Medical City. After birth, all our vaccines are also given by the same hospital. Medical City has gained our family's trust because their doctors are good and so are their services. In terms of health, we don't mind if we have to pay lot's of money as long as we are assured that once we leave the hospital, we are restored back to health and Medical City has given us that assurance. My sister and I have already experienced being admitted at Medical City Hospital and aside from the comfortable room offered to us, the doctors and nurses were also caring. Until now, whenever we are having serious illness, our resort is to go to Medical City where the experts are found. My sister has been having asthma attacks this past few days so we went to a Medical City Clinic in Cainta and to our disappointment, the Pulmonologist is on leave since it was a holiday. Therefore, we got no choice but to go to a general practitioner on the same clinic. However, we were 15th on the line and the count was just starting and we still needed to attend a reunion. We tried other clinics but the same situation confronted us so we settled with a small clinic near our place and we were able to have the consultation for my sister even though we know that the doctor who attended to her is not a specialist. The next day, my sister had an attack again, seems like the medications given did not work. We finally decided to go to the Medical City hospital. The Pulmonologist is still not available so we went to the Emergency room. This time we were not disappointed. The security guards were so attentive and hospitable and my sister was immediately attended to. That time, she was struggling for oxygen so we could not bare to fall in line. Good thing she was abruptly put on a bed to have her nebuliser and oxygen until she's stable. As I have observed, the other patients were treated the same. In the Medical City Emergency Room, patients are placed comfortably on beds and the Doctors are the ones who are roaming around. Nurses also visit regularly to check their condition. They also have a rule that only one person could accompany the patient while the other relatives could stay at the waiting area which has a comfortable seat and a wide screen television. I find this set-up conducive both for the patients and the relatives. But the most important thing that I admired is their accountability to the patient. They will not release the patient unless he/she is surely back to health. We did not bother paying more because we were sure that my sister would feel better and that the medicines given would help in her recovery. After a week, we went back to the hospital to meet my sister's pulmonologist. We went there early because we already expect that there will be a long queue and we were right. Good thing we were 8th in line because minutes after, many people already came. The doctors arrived late and I was quite annoyed but when it was my sister's turn, she was given an expert's advice and the right medications. I guess, the consultation itself is what's important about this service. It doesn't matter if the patients wait too long.

Uber Salon made me Uber happy
Uber Salon is a beauty Salon located at Sta. Lucia East Grand Mall. The first time we went there was for a haircut. The lady at the counter greeted us with smiles and asked us to register on their book of records then, she told us to choose among the stylist listed on the board. Each stylist has different fees corresponding to their expertise. We chose the cheapest stylist that time since we are just new to the salon. Then, we were escorted to the shampoo area by the friendly assistants. We did not wait too long before we were accommodated. It feels relaxing while they wash my hair because their hands are light and it was like having a massage. They rinsed my hair and then made me sit at the haircut area. The assistant was also the one who blow dried my hair. Shortly, the stylist came and asked me for the hairstyle that I want. His hands were fast but he cuts accurately and you can really see his expertise. After a few minutes, he was done and so he handed me again to the assistant for a blow-dry. When my hair was already dry, the stylist came again to perfect some details and then I'm done. My mother and my sister also had their haircut and we were serviced all at the same time by the same stylist but we still get to finish almost at the same time. Therefore no one of us had too wait long before our turn. The strategy is to delegate some of the tasks such as shampoo, rinsing and blow dry to the assistants and only the stylist would be in charge of the styling. We went out happy not just with our new look but also with the service we experienced. Of course we came back but the stylist we first chose is already out in the business therefore we had to choose another. This time, we chose the most expensive stylist, Ferdie. As expected, he was better and we were more satisfied. Moreover, the salon also has other services such as cellophane, perming, rebonding and relaxing services. My mother has already tried their cellophane and she looked good after the service. They also have hair and make-up service. Ferdie, is the most expensive make-up artist as well because he has already done make-up with celebrities. My graduation make-up was done by him and I am always satisfied with his work that's why I also chose him to bother my hair and make-up on my debut. One thing I liked about him is his professionalism. He always ask me to go there at least 4 hours before the event so I would not be late. Once the appointment is set, he will have no other customer than me so we could finish on time. Moreover, the make-up quality is really good and the cosmetics they use are branded. Moreover, Uber Salon has a separate area for make-up so I will not mix with others. I also entrusted him to cut my hair after being permed. I was always commended for my long curly hair. However, there came a time when it had grown too long and I can't manage it anymore so I really had to cut it. I was anxious at first, but finally I decided to let it be cut but only by Mr. Ferdie. I really do not want to lose my curls yet so I told him not to cut it too short. I was not scared at all when I sat on the salon chair, I know I will still look good. And so the process went on and after a few minutes, they let my hair dry and even applying some chemicals for my curls to stay. I was happy with the result and my hair has never been this good. Yes, it was even better. We have grown loyal to the Salon and they have also considered us one of their valued customers therefore, when we need a haircut or treatment, the only salon we'll go to is Uber Salon.
CDR King what a waste of time!
Most Filipinos are patrons of low-priced products and I am not an exception. I had to buy cds and the first store that came to my mind was cdr king. CDR King is known to sell variety of products at a cheaper price however, there is also a notion that products in the store is of low quality. During that time, I just needed to buy 5 CDs for my minus one. I first thought of going to National Bookstore but then I also thought that if I go there, I would still have to fall in line for minutes. So when I saw that there were fewer people in CDR King, I decided to go there instead. I haven't been there for a while so I was not aware of their new system hence I immediately went to the sales person and asked for the cds but she did not attend to my request because she said I need to get a number first. So I did get a number because I thought I am not going to wait for a long time since the place was not too crowded anyway. Then, I had my number and I was 17th on the line. The salesperson shouted 14 and so I thought to myself, that in a few minutes it would already be my turn so I stayed. I roamed around first to take a look at what else are they selling in the store. The products they sell range from USBs to earphones to cellphone accessories and even computer sets. The prices are very tempting but risky as well since personally I believe that technical products priced very low would not last long and would not deliver as expected. Therefore, maybe, people only go to CDR King for simple products but not for complex ones like computers and cellphones. Anyway, I checked the counter again and they are still catering to the person number 14. I wondered why the process is too slow when they have 4 employees present. Maybe the problem is with their system and protocol. Obviously, there are not yet adapting a computerized system and everything is recorded in their books. It's been 10 minutes and I am still waiting. As every minute passed, i get more irritated and annoyed. But finally, it's number 15's turn. That time, I was on a dilemma to go home or to stay since I am already 2 persons away from my turn but I am also aware that each person takes an average of 5-10 minutes depending on their transactions. Actually, I did wait for about 15 minutes before it was my turn. I was like "what the fudge 15 mins for a 25 peso worth of purchase? Are you kidding me? I should have gone to national bookstore if only I knew I would waste so much time there!" I was really in rage that time that I wanted to shout at the lady at the counter but I kept calm and composed myself. I tried to be patient. I ordered 5 pieces of CDs. They were not very accommodating anyway and they even got to chit chat with others while all other customers are waiting and are already irritated. In the ordering process, everything is unorganized. Even their ball pens are lost and not functioning well. It took a minute before they could fine one. And so the process went on, for 5 CDs I had to fill out and sign papers of receipt and warranty. After that, is payment time. I had a feeling that it would take more minutes for the payment so I handed out to them an exact amount.The problem I saw with CDR King is with their ordering, negotiating and payment system. They do not attend to customers simultaneously, they do it one after the other in spite of the number of salespersons present. Another thing, they were always doing things manually and every purchase even the smallest and cheapest ones is entitled to a receipt which the customer needs to sign. What a hassle right? It's not like I am going to get a warranty for a defective cd, I could just buy a new one instead. They should start adapting a computerized system where non-essentail parts should be eliminated in order to satisfy their customers.

Bing Cruz Catering's Expertise!
A girl will first dream of having her wonderful debut then a sweet wedding. That time when I was turning 18, I really dream of having that debut as one of the most memorable moments of my life. Unlike the typical girl who wants the traditional princess theme, I wanted everything in that celebration to really depict my personality so a chose to be a "rock princess".
I was squeezing my creative juices thinking how I can be a princess and a rocker at the same time. I was bothered. Would that be weird? Would they laugh at me if I wear a gown while strumming on my electric guitar or playing my drums? Anyway, I decided to push through with that idea.
So I contacted "Bing Cruz" a well known caterer in Pateros. They have already served in a lot of events so I was pretty much confident that they will do a great job in my debut celebration. We went to their place to discuss the menu, the design and the theme. I was more concerned about the design because even I could not imagine how I could turn the place to that "concert type" that I want it to be. Anyway, they gave us a good deal in terms of the food. Even giving us extra servings and granting my request for a chocolate fountain. He also asked for my preference regarding the theme so I told him that I want to have a band on stage but I also want to feel like I am a princess because I will be wearing a ball gown. I thought he will laugh at my idea but he just said "Let's see what I can do. You can leave it to us."
We met on the venue days after so he could assess the design and the layout. I guess when he was there, he already got lots of concepts and ideas on his mind. Then he abruptly sent an excel file of his plan to me to ask for my opinion and I agreed on everything. I already had a picture on my mind. I know I would be satisfied.
On the day of the event, when I entered the place, I was very surprised because it was above my expectations. I got my band set up on the stage, the elegant buffet table and every design just made me say "wow". The guests commended me and my parents for throwing such a wonderful event and it was indeed the most meaningful night for me yet. I would definitely get Bing Cruz catering again for my wedding. hihi :">

Tony and Jackey
“In Hairness”
I’ve always loved my natural
straight and silky hair. I get lots of compliment about it and it’s actually
one of my greatest assets. But there have already been lots of times that I
tried to cut it and experiment with styles just because I’m bored with my hair
being “bagsak”. I would always love the result right after I get out of the
salon, but after days and weeks, I usually regret that I let my hair be cut.
Still bored with my hair, I just tried to grow it longer and curl it with a
curling iron. One day, I came to school with a curly hair and a lot commented
that I look better. So I did try to curl my hair everyday but I had to wake up
early because the process is not easy and it is quite damaging to the hair. So,
I came up with an idea of getting a perm since I see a lot of girls in the
university who had their hair permed too and they really look pretty. I was
hearing about Tony and Jackey Salon from my friends. They said they are experts
in styling and they are in promo that time. So, I searched for T&J’s
website immediately and browsed for promos on digital perm. They had really low
prizes so from that time on, I already made up my mind. I also searched for
their facebook site and there I found the same information plus aswers to their
customer’s queries. Many people comment on the page and they are pleasingly
answered and accommodated. I also tried to comment just to see if out of the
stream of comments from people everywhere, they will notice my simple question
about prices. The next day, I get a notification from Tony and Jackey giving me
the information that I need. Overwhelmed, I decided to push through with the
perming.
I went for Tony and Jackey Cubao
branch since it’s the nearest to our house. I was one of the first customers of
their salon so everyone greeted me warmly. After a few waiting, the girl at the
counter introduced a Korean stylist to me. She’ll be the one to do my hair. I
have the look I want in mind but I don’t know what type of curl I need because
it ranges from small, medium and large. Good thing they have high-tech computers
infront of every customer seat wherein, you can browse pictures of the style
you want. I then showed her what I want to happen to my hair but I also have other
requests like start the curls at the neck level and many more but because she’s
Korean, we cannot communicate well. So, I just gave her the freedom to do what
she wants to do to my hair as long as it will look good. It took us 4 hours
inclusive of haircut, treatment, curling, and heating. But the result was not
what she expected it to be and I had no Idea because my hair is still wet. It
should have been medium but it became big curls she said. Maybe because I have
virgin hair. So she talked to my mom and told her that the process will be
repeated but for free. We accepted since it’s free. I stayed for another four
hours and in the end, it was all worth it because I got my curls and I loved
how I looked after the process. Morever, I was convinced to buy a hair lotion
to keep the curls looking good and it was expensive. Anyway, I am not thinking
of how much I spent anymore, I get the value that I want: to look pretty with
my curly hair without the hassle of waking up everyday for a curling iron
